In this session, the presenter will review how verbal and non verbal communication influences how a person living with brain change responds to stimuli. Audience members will explore the scope of how vision changes with the progression of dementia and the impact it has on their ability to interpret communication and their environment. The presenter will also identify the use of Teepa Snow's Six Pieces of the Puzzle as a valuable tool gathering model in home and long term care settings. Audience members will receive tips on how to coach families to have positive interactions with their loved ones with dementia.
