The need for thriving in the healthcare workspace has never been greater. Solutions consist of developing teams that are cognizant of cross-cultural communication to nurture a social construct of personal empowerment. An organization that values cross-cultural communication will allow their staff to thrive in skills of emotional intelligence, empathy, connectedness, team cohesiveness, and resiliency in the face of challenges. In this session, the presenter will identify key elements of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the healthcare setting and discuss various challenges and impacts on well-being and productivity in healthcare. This session will describe effective strategies for creating emotionally and culturally inclusive workplaces and clarifies the practical steps to accomplish it in the healthcare workplace.
