In this session, the audience will discover common terms and definitions including sexual orientation, gender identity, biological sex and everything in between. The presenter will share the "hidden" history of LGBTQ+ older adults that shape how older adults access care and support in long-term care today. Audience members will receive ready-to-implement tools and best practices that help create safer and more welcoming environments for this often invisible population.
